Provincial Partitions Custom Design Enclosure Achieves A 43% Sound Reduction For Testing Using Standard System 40 Components
A modified System 40 enclosure was engineered to "Sound Proof" a testing environment for Automodular, an auto parts manufacturer here in Oakville. A quiet environment was needed to perform “shaker” tests on upscale automotive instrument panels.
"The shaker listens for rattles, squeaks or noises and as such had to be housed in a quiet room, even though situated in a busy manufacturing environment. With the modifications to our patented System 40 walls Provincial Partition was able to achieve a 43% sound reduction! (See test results in graphic to the right.)
Automodular Corporation is a public Canadian company with one of their many plants located here in Oakville. Its brand new 265,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility in Oakville, Ontario is scheduled to open officially on October 16, 2006.
